Goals
Here at Cal-Ore Produce we feel there are four goals that will create a superior experience for anyone who eats a Cal-Ore Produce potato or ever steps foot in our doors. These goals focus on four essential points. Morale, Food Safety, Sustainability, and Customer Service.
Morale
Our employees make our business what it is. We strive to treat all employees as if they are family. That is why we got SMETA certified in 2023. We continue to learn from that audit and continue to improve each and every day to make a more enjoyable workplace.
Food Safety
We worry about food safety, so you don’t have to. When you eat a Cal-Ore Produce potato you can rest assured that it came from Global GAP certified farms and a PrimusGFS certified packing shed. Our goal is to get better every single day. Constant improvement is the key to success.
Sustainability
Our future depends on what we do for our planet. Our goal has to be to leave this planet better than we got it. That is why at Cal-Ore Produce our farmers focus on sustainable farming practices and we at the shed are always looking for the most sustainable packaging or equipment. Our children’s future depends on the choices we make today.
Customer Service
Our goal is to make sure our customers always get what they need in a timely manner. We aim to make problems opportunities because if we view every problem as an opportunity to become better, everyone wins. Again, constant improvement is the key to success.

History
In 1976, a small group of farmers committed to family, the beautiful Klamath Basin, and growing exceptional crops joined together to become Cal-Ore Produce. Decades later, their legacy has lived on, thrived, and grown to become an organization that farms over 1,500 potato acres, resulting in over 750,000 sacks of highest quality potatoes of different varieties. Cal-Ore Produce takes pride in having the equipment and workforce to provide high volumes of produce while still offering the familiarity and service of an operation focused on family and community.
An aspect of Cal-Ore Produce that makes us very unique is that we have multiple generations of farmers working together every single day to ensure you are getting the best possible product on your plates. Some of our farms go back to the 1920’s with no signs of them slowing down! You can rest assured that our growers will be providing you with potatoes for years to come!
